Toni Taylor Gozza is the founder of The Gozza Gap and Gozza Consulting Inc., an AI and business operations consultancy based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and working with clients nationwide. She spent 35 years running businesses before advising them, and is co-author of the AI Prompt Handbook, an Amazon best seller. There has got to be a better way — that thought is why this exists. I said it to myself for years before I did anything about it.

I've spent 35 years running businesses in an industry that goes through margin compression cycles — the kind where costs climb, revenue tightens, and everyone tells you to just work harder. I was already working harder. What I didn't have was more hours.
Women running businesses know this shape. Married, single, kids or not — you're pulled in nine directions before 10am and the business still needs you to be the one who decides everything. More effort wasn't the answer. More leverage was. A 2026 survey of U.S. small business owners found the average one fills five different roles a day — bookkeeper, marketer, customer service, more — and works over 200 extra hours a year just keeping up. I wasn't imagining it, and neither are you.
And the usual way to get leverage is to hire — which works right up until the math stops working. Another salary, another set of taxes and benefits, another person to train and manage and hope stays. In a tight-margin cycle that door closes fast. So I went looking for leverage that didn't come with a headcount attached.
Not as a novelty. As a way to multiply what one person could actually get done in a day. I fell hard for it — not because it was impressive, but because it gave me back time I'd written off as the cost of doing business.
What it didn't do is replace the part of the work that matters most. Nobody chooses you because your automation was elegant. They choose you because you listened, because you told them the truth, because you were there when it got complicated. Humans where they matter. AI where it makes sense. Get that backwards and you'll automate away the only real advantage you have.
Then people started asking me how. And in every conversation, the same problems kept surfacing.
Owners know they need to fix this. They can feel the money leaking. But they can't take their eye off the thing they're actually expert at long enough to go figure out systems, automation and AI — and honestly, they shouldn't have to. That's not their job.
It's mine. You stay focused on what you're great at. I find what's costing you time, money and capacity, and I close it.
A client in a heavily regulated industry came to me buried in software. After a business overview and technology analysis, we consolidated their stack into fewer tools — less to manage, less to train on, and over $6,000 a month back on the bottom line. We also found a category of cost sitting on their P&L that belonged with their clients, which protected a regulated revenue stream they'd been quietly eroding.
An insurance agent had inconsistent business information scattered across his social profiles. We corrected it. Traffic from Google and AI search went up almost immediately. Not a rebrand. Not a campaign. Just fixing something that was already broken.
Thirty-five years operating businesses — leading teams, selling, marketing, managing processes and technology, and living in the messy gap between what a software demo promises and what actually happens when real people have to use it on a Tuesday. The Gozza Gap runs out of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, working with clients across Palm Beach County and nationwide.
I'm also a co-author of the AI Prompt Handbook, an Amazon best seller. But the book isn't the point. The point is that technology has to work inside a real business, run by real people, with real constraints. That's the only lens I have.

An AI agency sells you AI. I start with how your business actually runs and only then decide whether AI, automation, a process change or deleting a step is the right fix. I've run companies, not just advised them, which changes what I look at first.
Established owner-operated businesses with real operational complexity and no internal transformation team. Most are run by women. Industries vary — regulated industries, insurance, professional services, real estate.
Answer ten questions, about five minutes, and we'll talk for thirty minutes at no cost. If I'm not the right fit, I'll tell you on that call.
